Some of them actually got recalled for this, 2010 model year IIRC.

The kicker is that 08-current all use the same ignition.

NHTSA is investigating as of yesterday I believe.

This is a 2014, just got it a few weeks ago as my new company vehicle. I wonder if there will be a recall notice coming eventually.

The thing of it is though, you pretty much have to be trying to hit the ignition, I can't imagine this just happening incidentally.

Well, the recall wasn't about kneeing actually... it was about people with 2 pounds of crap hanging from their keychain swinging back and forth from the key and loosening the ignition cylinder until it was as floppy as a wet noodle.

Probably applies to about 75% of Caravan owners, so its a good thing they're on top of that.

Apparently you missed the Camaro recall....which was about kneeing it

I was referring to the Chrysler recall, which was about heavy junk on the keychain turning the key off, same as the Cobalt/Ion. But they only recalled a small number of vehicles that had that type ignition.
